What Can Your Child Gain from Learning Handwriting Early in Life?

December 5, 2018

Writing readiness is a core part of the ESL curriculum, and it is primarily because we acknowledge how important this skill is in our students' llives.

For instance, learning handwriting early in life goes hand-in-hand with basic reading and spelling achievement. Since handwriting is a skill used in almost every subject, it has an impact on the overall academic performance of children, especially those who are already in the formal school system.

It has also been found that pursuing writing readiness and introducing a little bit of writing instruction at a young age may prevent later writing difficulties in children. On the other hand, when appreciation for handwriting is not developed, the motivation and mental resources needed to perform higher-level writing such as attention to detail and organization of ideas tend to suffer.

Our ESLian graduates are already achievers in big school, and we look forward to helping more ESLians to excel!
